I’d never been to a Burns Night and wanted to see what all the fuss was about so I, with the help of a crack PTA team, decided to organise one for the parents at our daughter’s school, which happened last Friday.
The evening was a huge hit with guests greeted by a piper before sitting down to a traditional haggis, neeps and tatties supper with a very dramatic Address to the Haggis and much more ribald Toast to the Lassies following. A few drams of whisky later and everyone was ready to dance the night away with License to Ceilidh, a brilliant ceilidh band who really got the evening going. Highly recommended!
